And then there was an empty street

And then suddenly, there is an open space in the city’s core. No engine noise, but still a lot of buzz that creates an unfamiliar vibe. The street is still the same, and yet looks already different. Citizens see it through a new set of eyes. Like the finale of Christo’s art: a monument that is stripped from its temporary wrapping and returns to its initial state. How can one dwell in this vast no man’s land only guided by intuition? How to reface the street with its enclosing sides, sites and sights?
